Here are some pictures of the new Inov-8 Roclite 319.  It's the red and black one.  I brought in the Roclite 320 which was the previous version of the shoe for a bit of a comparison.  Biggest difference between the two?  The 319 has a lot more room in the upper and the toe box than the 320, which is a very welcomed update.

I realized that I had not ever posted what I had used from a gear and nutritional standpoint at Leadville. Maybe not that important right? Well being a self-proclaimed "gear hound" and creating video based gear reviews over the last few year, I figured it was in fact my duty to do so. If you were waiting to see this (funny enough I have had a few emails asking) here it goes.

Gear

• Shoes - Vasque Mindbender one pair, 100 miles -
• Socks - Darn Tough Cushion Trail, 1 pair 76 miles. could have gone the distance if I'd been wearing gaiters to keep the dirt out -
• Shorts - Race Ready LD Easy
• Shirt - The North Face sleeveless, not sure this shirt is made anymore -
• Handhelds - Ultimate Direction Fast Draw Plus
• Arm Warmers - DeFeet Armskins
• Hydration Pack - Nathan HPL #008 Wore up hope pass without bladder to carry rain shell, gloves, and hat -
• Hydration Pack - Ultimate Direction WASP Worn by my pacers

Nutrition

• Electrolytes - Nuun and Endurolytes - I had a fresh bottle of NUUN given to me at each crew spot and took an Endurolyte whenever I felt like my stomach was "sloshy" I also carried a water bottle with straight water in it.
• Calories - For my synthetic calories, I used Clif Shots, GU Roctane, GU Chomps. At aid stations, I drank chicken noodle soup, coke, ate potato chips, pretzles, M&M's and pretty much anything else that looked good.
